I learned to spin when I was 12 years old and won Grand Champion at the Taos Wool Festival more than once. Before long I wanted to learn how to weave too so my parents bought me an old table top loom from a college which was selling their equipment. Soon, with my grandpa's help, i bought a bigger loom and it crowded our tiny living room at the time. I loved weaving! With my savings I bought an old storage shed and turned it into my studio and I dreamed of having my own shop someday! Now, over 25 years later, I work in a beautiful shop where I help teach kids and adults how to spin and weave. In my home studio I spin, weave and dye. I love working with colors and creating new designs on my looms.
My dad and I work together to supply our small business. I dye all different yarns and fibers including mohair from my little flock of Angora goats. He has designed our beautiful Swedish style weaving shuttles and Tahkli spindles which are all handcrafted here in our home studio.
