Description

Heartland Farm is a ministry of the Dominican Sisters of Peace and is located in rural Rush Co., KS. The 80-acre Farm has three resident Sisters, along with three part-time and one full-time staff members. The Farm is home to our herd of 20 alpacas, flock of 140 laying hens, three dogs, and two cats. Our large gardens, managed through organic practices, provides fresh vegetables for the Sisters and for local farmers’ markets. The Farm also serves as a retreat and an educational space as well as a place to connect with nature.

Heartland Farm offers a variety of fiber products in our Gift Shop, including alpaca roving; handspun and millspun alpaca yarns; alpaca fleece dryer balls and cat toys; alpaca and other fiber hats, gloves, and scarves; and other alpaca and fiber goods. Other items available for sale include Farm-made jellies and jams; Equal Trade goods; kitchen scrubbies and washcloths; natural creams, soaps, and balms, and much more!
